James Hamlin
Studio Coordinator & Editor
James serves as the Studio Coordinator, Video Editor, and IT Support at the Lastinger Center for Learning. In this role, he manages the studio operations, edits video content, and sometimes provides technical support to ensure the seamless functioning of IT-related tasks.
He began his career in video production after earning his Bachelor of Science in Video Production from the University of Florida. He has been working at WCJB TV20 News since 2017 as their morning newscast director, a role he still maintains, directing the morning show every weekday. James joined UF Creative Works in October of 2022, and following its integration into the Lastinger Center, he brought his expertise to enhance the Center’s creative initiatives.
James has a bachelor’s degree in Video Production from the University of Florida. In his free time, he enjoys visiting Florida’s theme parks, photography and playing video games at home.
