The University of Florida College of Education and Lastinger Center for Learning have partnered for a new research pilot studying how reading tech can encourage kids to engage with paper books.
New Worlds Reading AR Expeditions

- Transforms a paper book into an immersive experience
- Sparks a love for reading
Who is eligible?
A small group of 3rd – 5th grade students will pilot test the app in Fall 2024.
Learning Opportunities
Kids will be able to use augmented reality games and environments to learn about cool science concepts while also building their vocabulary and practicing their decoding skills.
